Astrology & Tarot

Each card of the major arcana is associated with a planet or a sign, useful in many ways and please be as creative as you want to be when you use the cards and planets together.

One way to use them in your own chart is to place the relevant cards in a clock lay, starting with the signs:

Start with your rising sign and lay the twelve astrological signs in order, moving anti-clockwise

This will help you see which card governs which area of your life, which house is it in? For example, if you have Gemini rising your first house will be The Lovers. First is about personality, how you appear so using the Tarot card it could suggest indecision, the lovers is a card of making choices. If you have Scorpio on the 10th, the house of career, with Death as the Tarot card it might suggest you would do best in roles that are intense, like pathology, psychology, healing, helping others out when things are difficult.

Now add the planets but placing them alongside the sign, major arcana, who’s house they occupy. For example, if you have Mercury in your first house, place the Magician card beside the card the represents your rising sign. Gemini rising, The Lovers card, with the Magician alongside suggests what? Talkative Magician, Lovers card, first house? Flirty personality perhaps?

Go with the intuitive side of the Tarot, use the imagery and release the need to be to analytical, sometimes astrology does that!

This PDF will remind you of what card represents which sign or planet, there’s also one for the houses and how to better understand them.

Enjoy!
