August
August 3 — Chiron Retrograde in Taurus
Our first experience of Chiron retro in the sign of the bull for a very long time, an experience You’ve learnt. How you treat your body. What makes you feel safe, who perhaps? How important is stuff, I mean really, is it truly why we’re here; for stuff? You could feel more vulnerable, especially to your sense of worth and value in the world. But is any of it real, are you imagining it based on old events, the past is in the past and all that? A review is always the gift of a retrograde, take you time. Mid-September he slips back into Aries, the emphasis will change and move towards self-identity. In short. Take this time to truly know thyself so when the wheel turns once more, you come back stronger and more present in your body than ever.
August 6 — Venus Enters Libra
Venus is back in her hometown; she just loves a bit of Libra time, who doesn’t. But it’s not all chocolate and silk dressing gowns, a peak into my weekend. She’s looking at romance, of course she is, wants to find harmony and peace. What happens when she doesn’t? Does she offer up solutions that cost, put up, give up, shut up? I most certainly hope not and neither does the goddess. She isn’t one for peace at any price and especially in Libra she will fight for equality in any relationship, be it romantic or not. Ultimately, she is one for grace, she also likes lovely things, pleasure is her default setting. But not at the expense of losing herself. Expect to meet folks halfway before you go all the way. And if you can’t? Walk away.
August 7 — Astrological Lammas
You reap what you sow. How many times have you heard that in your life! This time however, it’s more about applying this philosophy to yourself as you take stock of how the year is going so far. Lammas is a yearly thing, not what you did in the 80’s and are very glad social media meant to mates, a bottle of Blue Nun and a blether in the snug. What, in 2026, has ripened beautifully, what could do with a trim, what could do with being dug up and planted somewhere else? The seasons are turning. Here we meet the one that offers up the gift of harvest, time to celebrate what you have grown and assess what the cost of it all has been. Was it too much to pay, or do you feel that this year you’ve got it just about right?
August 9 — Mercury Enters Leo
What tales do we tell ourselves, what tails do we wag for others, what did you say and did you mean it? Even self-talk, maybe especially self-talk, needs to be regulated as Mercury find a voice that’s part speaking from the heart and part looking for a drama. Even if it is to clear the air. There’s creativity for writers, expression for actors, centre stage for divas and heads held high as a story is recognised for the courage it truly took to be still standing. And none of these is exclusive to a role, to a career, a title; we’re all actors and all that. The gift here is confidence, the downside can be arrogance. Make yourself heard, roar if you have to, but be true to your word.
August 12 — New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo
Now here is the spotlight, the light that shine so bright the shadows retreat and it’s time to stand in all your glory, to be seen, to identify yourself as the star that you are; without the blessings of that Mercury in Leo and without it’s traps. The Moon sets her intentions, double time as the Solar Eclipse takes things to a whole new level of brightness, a renewal, the creation of a turning point; be that clearly defined by the world around you, or one you commit to ritual, desire and manifestation. Probably both. It’s time to recognise growth, to change your hairdo, to wear colours that attract attention instead of blending in. To mix the power of your will with the power of your inner-sanctum’s desires and heart known pathways that have waited too long to begin. Begin.
August 23 — Sun Enters Virgo
The to-do list may suddenly make War and Peace look like a pamphlet. We’re in the season of the organiser, the season of small thing, of details and worrying over tiny, teeny, points whilst the bigger picture is pushed out of view. That may not sound like a good thing, but sometimes the basics need attention for the big stuff to make its way in the world. Get your health in order, sort out work schedules, self-improvement is no longer an idea, a one day maybe, it starts to take shape and whilst the drive for perfection may be felt, there’s enough Leo energy around still to remind you that it’s about improvement, not perfection. Don’t be so tough on yourself that you quit before the ink is dry on your to-do list. Maybe start with a to-don’t list? What are you no longer interesting in keeping in the cosmic drawer of crap you will never need again?
August 25 — Mercury Enters Virgo
And now Mercury enters his hometown of Virgo, the ten of disks is activated and it’s time to take what you have learned, sort it into some semblance of order, apply it to your life and perhaps even pass it on to others to help them avoid the pitfalls you’ve experienced. Welcome back to school for another term. In the next few weeks remember to read the small print, separate fact from fiction, look for the flaws in a plan before the flaws find you. If you ask the right questions, you can turn the information you get into something useful, rather than leaving it in gossip land where nothing escapes into a world of practical action. He’s moving quickly, keep your wits about you.
August 28 — Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
How are you doing there? Trying to hold back the tide, hold back an emotional moment or two, clenching your aura until you go bright red in the chakras? Don’t be fooled by the word partial in this Lunar Eclipse, there’s nothing half measures about it. The full force of the Pisces and Virgo arc is in play. Something hidden reaches the surface, breaks through the barrier of emotional revelations and asks you to surrender you dreams to the waking world, to come into reality and way from the realms of the imagination. You might think that sounds like no fun, but what if it brings you answers instead of mulling possible option and outcomes until you feel more confused than ever? An ending is set to clear the way; you will know both when and what to let go. What you may not know is how you got to this point. Trust in what cannot be explained but has clearly manifested so that you can move on.
