Venus retrograde in Scorpio
When Venus goes into retrograde there’s a lot of clutching at pearls, deep sighs in heavy breaths about just what’s going to happen between you and your main squeeze. Calm down. She wears many hats, and corsets, her retro look could be about your money, your well-being, your values, your love life for sure, but even then, is she breaking anything; probably not.
It’s more likely she’s offering a pause, chance to review a few situations, to reconsider what the next move might be and to allow space for all the feelings to surface, and in Scorpio, she’s particularly interested in those hidden things that take a little longer to set themselves free before floating up to be examined.
On the upside she hasn’t lost her love of fine things, her desire for good chocolate, fine wine and the touch of someone who makes your heart beat faster. She just wants all of that without any secrets, reluctance or any palm oil in the chocolate. Take your time in matters of money, love and well-being. She’ll be moving back into Libra on the 25th, and goes forward on November 14th. Note that date.

Sometimes making a choice isn’t easy. No matter what the decision is, it’s always best to weigh up the pros and cons, to look at things from both sides. Don’t do that today. You have probably done it already, and if nothing comes to mind then move along, this Moon isn’t for you, not all of them are so don’t force it to fit; nothing good ever came from that!
Today is about setting out your agenda, what you’ve seen, what it’s informed within you and how you see things going from here on in. New Moons are new beginnings, it’s literal. Then we add what area it’s in, so Libra is about love, partnerships, 1:1 stuff. It’s also legal matters and soft furnishings, that designer outfit and once more only the finest things in life than you very much. It’s a broad church. Ask where you’ve been dithering, where someone has been asking you to just make up your mind, where you feel things aren’t how you’d like them and where the new sofa is going to go.
You’re the expert on you. The Moon? She’s the expert on knowing what you want, what you really, really want. Listen to her and act accordingly.
October 16th
Pluto goes direct Aquarius
“Workin’ in a coal mine, Goin’ down, down, down. Workin’ in a coal mine. Oops about to slip down” as Lee Dorsey once said; probably not about Pluto to be fair. But yep, Pluto has been digging around, going down, down, down and what did he find? With his forward move it’s about bringing all that to the surface.
Secrets will be out, globally and down the chippie this Friday. Whatever you hear is likely to be the truth, even if it’s denied, he hasn’t been putting all this effort in to make things up; that’s a little more Neptune’s territory. He’s going head to head with Mars, the day Venus goes into retrograde in fact, this can cause some pre-direct rumbling, the more sensitive amongst us are likely to feel uneasy. Keep your wits about you, trust in the truths that you see and if in doubt, if, see where it sits on your body, feel into it and ask if this is so. You will know.

Sun into Scorpio
Both your rulers, Pluto and Mars, in a fall- out, Venus going retro in Scorpio and tomorrow Mercury follows her in a retrograde until, surprise-surprise, November 14th, the very same day Venus goes forward. It’s a lot. Sometimes one area of our chart gets all the action, the Sun’s move can often be a herald for that, and if you do know your chart you’ll know which space it’s going to be hectic.
If you don’t, take a moment, sit down and think about where someone is being a bit argumentative, maybe even judgy, where you’d rather not spend your quality time or where you’re cheering them along for finally doing what could have been done weeks, months, ago.
The word is intense. The part of the movie where the music gets extreme, the main characters show their true colours and a path is changed, interrupted or terminated.
Or think of it as the official welcome to Spooky Season and watch a couple of ghosty things, eat all the sweeties and search for a costume for the works Halloween party. You will know which camp you fall into; dressing up, or a dressing down.
October 25th
Venus retrograde into Libra
Gentler than her visit in Scorpio, perhaps a time to soften your approach to any issues the Rose Queen threw your way. Ask what was happening around 8 years ago when she last visited, what dynamics haven’t quite been resolved or maybe take a pause and ask, ‘what was I thinking’ and give thanks for a Venus retro’s assistance now and again.
Visit a few charity shops, the chuck-away energy is high on this one and what was once someone’s designer lovely has accrued the status of not so much, but recycling the gorgeous is a thing under Venus’s care and attention. It could be your new lovely thing. Also, this old moving aside for something new could be a love theme.
Be sure to make time for yourself, time for a long bath, some extra self-care, a little treat to remind you how fabulous you are, you get the picture.
October 26th
Taurus Full Moon ♉️ 2°45” at 04:12 UK time
Full Moon’s are about letting go, once more it’s a good time to remember that knowing what it is you’re letting go of is useful. You could argue the full Moon will make that decision and get back to you, and I would have to disagree. It can highlight what’s not going so great, but any choices are yours and yours alone.
Taurus is about food, values, your senses, resources, abundance and the physicality of life on earth. Look to wobbles in these areas, see what needs a steady approach and how re-addressing a situation could help? Patience is likely to be required and there won’t be any quick answers, but that’s okay. Taurus full Moon can work the buffet, get the most from what’s on offer and come away feeling very satisfied.
Think back about six months ago. Think about a commitment to change you made and ask if you’re getting there, slowly but surely, or do you need to revisit a few things in this month of redoing things, especially as this Moon’s governor, Venus, is in here rewind phase.
